The Veils came to be in an alchemical manner. It is the first work to explore the process of transforming an image using a succession of techniques one after another. Beginning originally in the dark room, then undergoing a digital transformation, and finally being transposed to silkscreening, The Veils took shape gradually.

 

In the end, twelve unique silkscreen prints are suspended together. These floating, vaporous and simple images evoke fragility and peacefulness. Chosen for its translucency, the Mylar paper allows an array of lighting effects, whereby the direction of the light source effectively alters the appearance of the image.
